Each group is assigned one case (housing settlement), which they work with throughout the course. The cases include housing in combination with common and public functions, such as children's institutions, shopping, etc. to exemplify ideas of welfare planning that involve ideals of establishing communities. Overall, these lected cases cover both a chronological order and a typological range, so that through the joint presentations at the end of the course, all students become familiar with several Danish (iconic) housing settlements developed within the Danish welfare society.
